I'm using empathy on gnome 3 and it seems quite the same bug. This is
what happens to me:
- When I send a message it comes back to me as notification.
- When I receive a message it is shown to me first as

Personally I don't think this is a duplicate of #921168.
I am seeing this here with gnome-shell, and what will happen is that I will get
the normal built-in popup of the message contents, then again. If I
kenvandine fix this bug.please update your system.and than tell us.
