Public bug reported: Setting the Developer in the Photo menu to "Camera" inside Shotwell causes the orientation of portrait photos to be lost causing you to have to re-rotate the image. The thumbnail in the library also rotates to landscape mode until the photo is re-rotated manually. This is happening with Nikon NEF RAW files from a D3100 Camera - i have not had any other RAW files to test and try to duplicate.
The rotation is in the metadata as shown by exifprobe, and may be related to this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shotwell/+bug/889738 as i am also not getting any metadata in the rendered file.
