Tema, Adding the backtrace is awesome! Unfortunately, it's missing a few too many symbols to be useful. Would you be able to reproduce the backtrace again, but after installing the following debugging symbols packages (which will require adding the repository for those, see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash): sudo apt-get install libcamel-1.2-29-dbgsym libc6-dbgsym This will allow me to see what part of the libcamel library is doing something wrong, supplemented by the details from the affected libc calls, which should make debugging and fixing this in the evolution code much simpler. Mathieu, I can not do a backtrace. I couldn't handle it anymore so I have upgraded to 12.04 and everything is working fine. Well, actually I switched from evolution to thunderbird and uninstalled evolution. Thank you for your time, but I can not give anymore info. apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: I was in the process of deleting mail in my InBox of evolution when my computer froze. After a reboot, and launch of evolution an error occurred which shut down evolution. Now every time I try to launch evolution it starts to launch then just stops and exits. I am running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, Lucid Lynx updated. I do not have much experience with trouble shooting or coding. Please help me if you can.
