Thank you for reporting this bug. I can reproduce it too. I've changed Totem for VLC and double-click on a video file. Totem is opened instead of VLC. Output of dpkg -l gnome-control-center: ii gnome-control-center 1:3.4.2-0ubuntu0.5 Version of ubuntu: Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS **
