I can confirm... it sounds terrible. But on my other computer is sounds fine.
It seems that my snd-hda-intel sound driver has the issue.
Further examination shows that if I record something with adacity it works
fine. When I try to record again with one track already recorded that second
one
it is the modem applet it seems to have been fixed in ths final release.

When I switch to the "Glider" theme, the deskbar (in button mode) does
not chanegt it's background color to match the panel's (GTK's) color. It
continues to maintain the "Ubuntu Human" theme color.
This is not a transparency issue. Neither
The screenshot was taken in Fiesty with deskbar package version
2.17.2-0ubuntu2.
I think the background for the history drop-down also uses the "Human"
theme color, but not sure if this is expected behavior. Attached image
shows the comparison.

I'm told location is not a location but a name_for_the_printer.
location = dads_room is kinda MSwindows sounding.
The real problem is that users are putting a network address in the

Ah, thanks -- good idea. Yes, the problem seems to be with my theme's
making use of "H20-gtk2" for "controls", which seems not to work for me
under Edgy. I don't know why that is, but I'll withdraw the bug, unless
someone else is interested.

dunno, i'm on mac os x now... but I will reinstall ubuntu on the
other machine for my parents, then I can reopen the bug if it still
persists.

Does anyone have a work-around handy, for disabling this entire
"security" "feature"?
In my web searches, I find nothing about how to turn it off.
What I do see, are instances of the same error message
reported in numerous forums. The problem is normally
