1) I used sudo aptitude update and then sudo aptitude safe-upgrade.

I see the same problem. Unlike the previous version (2.25.92-0ubuntu1),
libbrasero-media0 version 2.26.0-0ubuntu1 Conflicts with nautilus-cd-
burner.
The trigger is that gnome-desktop-environment (1:2.22.2~4ubuntu5)

It seems that due to the crash some files in /usr/share/gconf/schemes are now 0
byte, eg. /usr/share/gconf/schemas/gnome-terminal.schemas
Is there a way to reset these schemes to default? Ithink this could probably
solve the problem.

I can reproduce the Slow Keys alert, but not the Sticky Keys one.
Is there any reason for not using a confirmation alert here? I take the
point that the change has already happened by the time the alert
appears, but the same is true for the confirmation alert you get when
changing screen

I was doing a update 32 items. They were downloading and I was away from the
computer. for a couple of hours. Everything was frozen, Nothing would work, I
had to shut the power strip off to close. When I try update again I get the
error message
E dpkg was interruped, you must manually run dpkg
I'm having this problem too, on the Dell Mini 9. The applet is very slow
and unresponsive, while Xorg eats about 30% CPU.
