Maybe the bug you encountered is different from mine, because in my case
evince failed silently to print, and now it works again. I never had an
error message (but the printer made its caracteristic heating noise each
time, as it probably received something, just didn't know how to deal with).
Afer updating my Karmic install yesterday, the bug appears resolved.

I'm having a similar issue, I think. In GDM, the brightness fluxuates
between roughly 80-90%, and only stops when I'm fully logged in. Once
I'm logged in, the brightness will stay the same (usually very low) and
if I attempt to change it, it will fluxuate between values. For example,

Hi, i have the same Problem at the moment. If i run alacarte in terminal i get
the IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied:
'/home/myuser/.config/menus/applications.menu' .
If i run alacarte as with sudo, it starts correct but i am not able to add new

Computer suspends immediately after resuming if power is
It's no good, I'm not experience much with gdb.
Anyway I installed the totem-dbg package, run totem with gdb and terminate it
when it get to idle state.
Here's the result file.
