My transfers stop at about 10-30 percent every time i try to transfer multiples.
gFTP works okay but isn't the same as being able to edit files live through
nautilus and gEdit, major slow down in productivity :(

UPDATE to my last comment: I took another look at the problem (Lucid,
Seahorse 2.30 on VBox) and it turns out that the dialog is not hanging.
On my machine it takes between 5-20mins for the key to be generated the
dialog then closes properly. The cancel button on the dialog does not

If it crashes when trying to share that probably means Vino was not running
previoulsy (according to the trace, it crashes when trying to register the TP
client which is done when starting Vino).
Could you try to start Vino manually first and see if that helps? Use
VINO_SERVER_DEBUG=tube

I can confirm this brightness -issue up to that point that the
brightness is lower when waking from suspend, not always but usually
when doing first suspend - wake sequence after the machine has been
booted to Ubuntu.

I can confirm that manually editing the x and y values in
~/.config/monitors.xml and then logging out and back in again adjusts
the monitor position.
I changed the permissions for monitors.xml to 777 but Monitor
Preferences still can't save my settings.

http://blogs.msdn.com/ or New York Times technology pages (they've not
published much on GNU/Linux since 2009).
You're too smart for Linux if you can configure a screen-saver is a
suitable headline.
