There is an update on this issue.
It looks like the only fix possible for this bug is libsoup strict SSL
mode enabled. In Evolution 2.x, all of the certificate authenticity
checks are done within calendar/gui/itip-utils.c:itip_public_comp inside
the backend; no extra configuration
Well, I found a solution.
1. I renamed the /home/[my-username]/.config directory as /.config.old
2. After logout and new login, a new /.config directory is generated.
3. I replaced the old /.config.old/nautilus directory by the newly generated
/.config/nautilus
4. /.config erased.

I have the same problem with Ubuntu 12.04 and Canon EOS 7D. Browsing the
camera file system often hangs Nautilus for some time. Copying proceeds
only at slow rates (around 5 MB/s) and often crashes.
