Well, IMHO bluetooth is one big mess in ubuntu. I'm using a BT headset
for nearly 7 years now, and it has NEVER worked without some quirks.
Even this would be OK for me, but the quirks differ not only between
releases but also between updates. Hence you can never be sure if the
headset will work

from ubuntu repos. It has also stroked me with an eclipse from

Is it safe to backport this vanilla gnome-control-center 3.8 packages to Ubuntu
14.04 (Trusty)?
We have several computers with both desktop environments (Unity and GNOME
Shell) installed - some users prefer GNOME, some - Unity.
Another question - why you packaged gnome-control-center 3.8 not,
Gnome-Control-Center 3.8 was uploaded to Ubuntu Utopic a week ago, see LP bug

Still don't understand why g-c-c 3.10 (or 3.12) isn't uploaded and even
unstable Ubuntu Utopic release has 1 year old Gnome-Control-Center 3.8 :(

I was just trying to install 64-bit 14.04 LTS. Due to a video bug in the
default installation image, I had to boot to a terminal instead of the
usual Unity GUI. The video bug is actually fixed already, but I needed
to download it. So I just did sudo apt-get update followed by
After setting modifier-only-shortcut to disabled, I can at least
change layout to the 3rd language using UI or Ctrl-Space. With modifier-
only-shortcut set to something I can't switch layout to the 3rd language
at all!
Horrible bug.

The Gedit text editor have a useful feature which is called Latest
Opened Files.
This feature list the most recent files opened on a list after click in
an arrow close to the Open button on the Toolbar.
On my system, I click the arrow to get the list but all that I get is
