Most settings panels suddenly missing from
I have Ubuntu 14.04 on two Samsung notebooks: a Series 9, model
NP900X4B-A02US ,and an ATIV Book 9 2014 Edition, model NP940X5J-K02US.
In the NP940X5J, Ubuntu is running with UEFI enabled. I confirm that
Kieran Clancy's solution works on that notebook.
In the NP900X4B, Ubuntu is running with
I have exactly the same problem, with exactly the same configuration.
For me the output of the above command is i3.

Weirdly, I actually mean on the left. I tested different configurations
where the origin was not 0,0 (for example moving both monitors by 1 to
the right) and the monitors.xml file only takes when the primary display
is on the left. For example:

Install with : sudo dpkg -i libspectre1_0.2.6-1build1_amd64.deb
Do not try and remove the newer 0.2.7 package before you install this
one, that would require you to remove a ton of stuff to
HexChat already defaults to ssl for freenode

If I unset XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP before starting gnome-control-center, it
lists all the settings panels, just as usual. That's probably also the
reason why `sudo gnome-control-center` works, since the environment
created by sudo doesn't have

There is no activity since Friday, 14 March 2014; however they seem to

1) Copy the name of an arbitrary file: Mark file, F2, Ctrl-C, ESC
