I also have the GPS not working problem. My phone is bq Aquaris E5, I
have OTA 13 installed. I don't even have the "Using GPS, anonymized Wi-
Fi and cellular network info" option present in my settings menu.

but some metadata was ignored due to errors." following the use of sudo
apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade.

That's it. Diodon was indeed the culprit. But why does a simple
clipboard manager behave like that? Is it trying to clear cache before
session logout? Or something else?
I can reproduce only with systemd. It works fine with upstrart. May we
should file a bug in diodon.

I had the same problem and found one solution, to edit the bookmark file
manually as it already support sub-folder.
Simply edit the file ~/.config/gtk-3.0/bookmarks
The syntax is really easy, for example:
sftp://$USER_NAME@$SERVEUR_URL(:port)/$SUBFOLDER_PATH $BOOKMARK_NAME
Nevertheless would be

Public bug reported:
Gnome-system-monitor shows a process "gnome-software" that continues
running after the application window has been closed. The process
constantly takes 100–200MB RAM and was not there after boot/login.
Observed behavior:
Process does not quit after quitting the application
A workaround would be to update to the appstream/libappstream package in
xenial-backports or to just sent the output of stderr to /dev/null to
get rid of the message.

Installing the fixed file is not really a work around but the error
piping would work. I'll live with the noise for now and try to get the
updated package installed once it reaches xenial-backports.

I also had this problem since upgrading to kernel 4.4 on linux mint 17.3
(ubuntu 14.04.03 derivative).
Removing `laptop-mode-tools` fixed it instantly for me, as well.
