This is most definatily duplicable in Dapper with GIMP 2.2.11. This is
on a screen with 1024 x 768 resolution.
imho, it is never correct to have the buttons in a dialog go off the
screen. Many average users don't put one and one together and realize
that they just need to close the expander.

Scratch that last remark. I think this is a critical bug for the same
reason I stated in comment #10 because gaming is one of the places Linux
has traditionally fallen down, and while this is not directly related to
gaming, it can certainly detract from the user experience should this
bug also
I feel I should clarify that I have mentioned gaming in comment 10 and
comment 11 since these are the applications most likely to default to a
fullscreen mode, and where a windowed environment, where the user could
access the sound menu, could result in a negative impact on the user

I've poked the upstream report to see if anyone responds, and I've told
them that there's a workaround detailed here, that may help them
determine the cause of this.
Also, this bug does not seem like it will affect the 'average user' on a
regular basis, which is part of the definition of a paper

System - Preferences - Appearance - Visual Effects - None
Opened Nautilus and went into
Edit - Preferences - Behaviour - Open folders in separate windows
I opened my home folder on desktop #1, and then opened my Music folder
contained within. I

the panel?

It sounds like there just needs to be a conditional statement to catch
the signal generated by the clicking of a particular inbox entry in the
menu.

You're copying a carriage return when you copy the command. You only
need to double click it when you're copying text from the terminal. That
third click is copying the whitespace at the end of the line, which is
being interpreted as a carriage return when you paste it.
