I had the same problem: Ubuntu 10.4 couldn't see an audio cd and I
resolved is by replacing my old cd-rom device by a more recent dvd-rom
device and using a 40-pin ata-cable (in stead of a 39-pin). My
motherboard is P4X266-8233.

I confirm this bug. I am getting file-roller stalled with error
Incorrect command line when I tried to make 7z-archives from files in
the folder named like this - text text 123. I am thinking, those
spaces between words make such effect. It is concerned to Russian file
names and English too. In

This problem needs to be FIXED, it's a disgrace for gnome games team. I
mean, come on, two gigs of RAM, 2.7ghz processor and I simply can't play

If anyone still interested: I got this error recently (15 min ago), and
by now have managed to resolve it.
The problem was in my /etc/hosts file - it was missing 127.0.0.1
localhost line. It was removed by Network Settings applet when I
tried to add an alias 127.0.0.1 testhost for my apache
I confirm this.

Not sure if this is the same bug, but I have similar problem. But in my
case I get a message: failed to seek; server does not accept Range HTTP
header.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Mount CIFS resource on a local folder via fstab or manualy on a Windows
server machine which contains many files, 1000 or more
2. Double click on mounted media (via show mounted volumes on desktop or
Nautilus himself)
3. Go make a coffie untill just the content is parsed
This is not an icon issue, this hapeens every time even in compact
preview mode.
