Public bug reported:
I filed a previous bug for this (but I didn't find it). I'm filing again
to say the VLC player has no problem with .OGV files.
My previous report said that movie player in Maverick cannot play .ogv
files (freezes after a few seconds) but it can play the same files in
Lucid.

I am using Jaunty Jackelope 9.04, and it is set to dual boot with Windows Vista.
2) (the problem is not unique to nautilus)
nautilus:
Installed: 1:2.26.2-0ubuntu2
Candidate: 1:2.26.2-0ubuntu2
Version table:
*** 1:2.26.2-0ubuntu2 0
500
I'm using metacity (none on visual effects) I normally don't run visual
effects (though my system can handle it, I just haven't been interested)
so I don't know if it happens in both. Unfortunately, it's not something
I can reproduce on demand. I don't know what the trigger is.

As I understand, I should be able to right-click a file/folder and select star.
That option is not available though 'Starred' is now a location in places. This
option is missing under both Wayland and X.
