I'm also affected by this bug. Though as mentioned in Pedro Villavicencio 's post, it also seems to me like a video issue. Nautilus slowness is the most noticeable aspect of this bug, but it also affects others applications when displaying menus, resizing windows or opening files. Nothing is

Little update : I deactivated the proprietary drivers in order to run nouveau for a while. The result in general is *slightly* better, especially with nautilus. So this points towards a bug with to the proprietary nvidia drivers. I think it's worth opening a new bug report -- nautilus running
