If clicking 'X' sends the app to the system tray, why is no icon to that
effect visible?
Please make 'X' mean what it means for all other apps.

Or, if you insist, when you click 'X' then display an icon in the system
tray. Could this be Unity related?
Either way, there is a usability bug that needs fixing.

It should definitely show in system tray if you have it enabled
though.
Dave: That should be default behaviour. The end user should not have to
configure anything so basic.
I checked the preferences and found nothing that enables an icon in the
upper panel.

Public bug reported:
The following new behaviour was detected today in Ubuntu 12.04:
In Nautilus
- single left clicking on folders sometimes opens them instead of highlighting
them
- this is reproducible but only randomly
This bug is attributed to Nautilus, but I suspect a deeper problem.
