You have been subscribed to a public bug: When i select "Open in Terminal" from Nautilus menu, the terminal opens in the current folder (as expected) and the cursor rapidly blinks for a few seconds, ignoring attempts to type anything at the prompt. During this period, the whole system freezes a bit and the processor usage can reach 40% on a 6th generation Intel Core i7.
