[Bug 1733249] Re: No time displayed on lock screen.

2017-12-21 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Actually, in Ubuntu 18.04 and presumably 17.10, the day and time are
displayed up top on the login screen. And you can click on it to show
the calendar with the date. So it sounds like Kai is using some older
Ubuntu release

Kai, please run 'apport-collect 1733249' on the affected machine to help
us understand what you're running.

[Bug 1733249] Re: No time displayed on lock screen.

2017-11-20 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it
would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers
of the software by following the instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please
tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a
bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance.

note that the clock is the first thing displayed on the lock screen but
that page is dimissed when you start entering your password, and indeed
the password screen doesn't have it
