[Bug 1750336] Re: Unable to login when using Nvdia-340.104 driver ("password is incorrect" when password contains UPPERCASE letters)
I did further investigation。 The reason is that, when using Nvdia-340.104 driver, I am not able to type any UPPERCASE letters using the CapsLk key. I discovered this when I click the "Not listed?" link and then type letters in the username input field. All appercase letters are accepted as lowercase only. A workaround is to user Shift+[a-z] keys to type in uppercase letters. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm3 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1750336 Title: Unable to login when using Nvdia-340.104 driver ("password is incorrect" when password contains UPPERCASE letters) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm3/+bug/1750336/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1750336] Re: Unable to login when using Nvdia-340.104 driver ("password is incorrect")
My passwords are all english and 0-9 combinations. Works OK when the password contains no UPPERCASE latters. Does not work when the password contains at least one UPPERCASE letter. ** Summary changed: - Unable to login when using Nvdia-340.104 driver ("password is incorrect") + Unable to login when using Nvdia-340.104 driver ("password is incorrect" when password contains UPPERCASE letters) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm3 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1750336 Title: Unable to login when using Nvdia-340.104 driver ("password is incorrect" when password contains UPPERCASE letters) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm3/+bug/1750336/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Please try changing your password to purely US English characters and tell us if that works around the bug.
