Public bug reported: Settings -> Power -> Automatic suspend -> On battery power -> Delay has a minimum value of 15 mins. This might made sense to the developer who thought that you never want a lower value because you have a laptop with multiple hours of battery life, but the same setting is used for desktop computers than run on UPSs. In case of a power outage, desktop users might reasonably want a lower delay before suspending the computer (1 or 5 minutes, etc.) so I believe that this is a UX design issue.
If you agree with this I might be able to patch it. ** Affects: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1825208 Title: Automatic suspend delay is at least 15 mins To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/1825208/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
