Still in Lucid, but the workaround is to just remove the gnome-codec- install package: sudo apt-get remove --purge gnome-codec-install Next time you start Rhythmbox - it shouldn't prompt you for any codecs. You'll probably have all of the codecs you need by now anyway... -- Rhythmbox tries to
