[Bug 367385] Re: Deleted files not moving to trash
Ah thx, it is a command. ==This is on my working partition== It seems that there is no trash (or prullenbak, that is Dutch for trash) folder in my home directory. However it's gvfs-ls trash: with : Yes then I see the files... Example: gvfs-open trash: Open trash:///, so that seems OK. All of the folders include root directory of /home/melroy/.local/share/Trash are empty. Info files are filled if I move something to trash. OK, so that is working OK. Tomorrow I want to check it with the old partition. ==This is on my partition that NOT working== Coming soon.. -- Deleted files not moving to trash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/367385 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 367385] Re: Deleted files not moving to trash
@Sebastien Bacher 1) I think it is reproducible, because I did twice a fresh Ubuntu 9.04 installation. Onetime with ext4 and with ext3. The problem still exists. However I haven't try it yet on a other pc/laptop. 2) 2.1) Burn the Image on a RW CD. 2.2) Try the install the Ubuntu 9.04 i386 in Dutch (Netherlands) language (NOT on a virtual machine like VMware). 2.3) Format the first partition ext3 or ext4, choose format, / as root level and a swap partition 2.4) The rest of the settings keep it default. However choose for automatic login. 2.5) Reboot, create a new file on the desktop. Then choose move it to trash. EDIT! You never believe it, the problem is solved??? I don't now why I was looking (and this because I still not believe it) a the bottom right of my window. I saw ?prop? in the trash. You fixed it with a update already? I can try it again... I make a copy of this working partition with clonezilla and install a fresh Ubuntu.
