I think Sven is right in his assumption that the touchpad freeze is caused by
two syndaemon instances getting out of sync.
On my system I find consistent correlation between touchpad freezing and two

attached audio-bug-ogg.html will prints-out elapsed time between each
timeupdate. It shows firefox 8 to have the last update elapsed time to
be significuntly large for no reason at all:

here is the log.
i'm not sure what more to explain, i can log in to msn using one
credential and not another. my password and email are correct, i
confirmed by logging into live on the web.

Question:
Why there is still beta packages under Oneiric? NetworkManager update contains
not stable vesion. Please it is strongly recommend and others will ask I think
too update packages to stable versions. Latest NetworkManager is 0.9.2.
Canonical please update to latest stable version.
