I can reliably cause evolutions preview pane to freeze when viewing
large mails. The only way to get it working again is to restart
evolution.
This a duplicate of at least #865461 but apport-collect asked me to file
a new report.

I think this is due to a very peculiar behavior of evince , that it does
not apply the default settings, if the document is stored somewhere
under /tmp. This is annoying, because most of temporarily used documents
(e.g. pdfs in firefox) are stored there and hence are being opened in a

java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError:
org/apache/xerces/jaxp/SAXParserFactoryImpl : Unsupported major.minor
version 51.0
Indicates a backwards incompatibility - I suspect that xerces has built
classes for Java7 only and libreoffice is trying to execute them with
Java6/OpenJDK6.

Doesn't reconnect to gtalk after suspend/resume

Perhaps this is not the same issue (?), but issuing the command:
gnome-screensaver-command -l
occassionally leaves me with a black screen - even after numerous mouse
clicks / key presses - and the cursor is not visible. When this
happens, I am able to log back in by blindly typing my password
Confirmed - libxerces2-java uses the 'ant.java.version' property to
specify the source/target for the java build - as a result its jar file
is only Java7 compatible.

Log-in does work (graphical or text-VT); /var/log/auth.log just includes lines

By pressing tab and Space, the Cancel button is pressed. That seems to
be because the default response is OK, however the default response (the
one sent when Enter is pressed) is not always the currently focused
button (Cancel in your case).

I've seen this too since I upgraded from 11.10 to 12.04 (never
experienced this prior to 12.04). I would add that it is not just the
VPN Connections submenu that stops working; it's any entry in the
applet's menu that stops working. When this happens, the workaround that
I use is:
kill -1 `pidof

I added the configuration suggested above to about:config, but it did
not correct the problem. Can anyone help? I'm on Thunderbird version
12.0.1 (the current standard for Natty, recently auto-upgraded from
3.x).
I believe others may find the current behavior confusing, especially
if upgrading
