Solution is installing libimobiledevice. Easiest way (tested on 12.04):
sudo apt-get install libimobiledevice-dev
That way it install all the dependencies.

Public bug reported:
What I did;
- upgraded to 14.04 trusty
- installed gnome-session-flashback
- logged out; logged in with gnome flashback (compiz)
- in the lower left corner, right click to bring up preferences; change number
of workspaces to 4
- click on workspace 3
What I expected:
1.) Do you happen to have bumblebee installed ?
Try to remove bumblebee with purge option.
sudo apt-get remove --purge bumblebee*
If it is not install check in folder /etc/modprobe.d for file bumblebee.conf.
If exists delete it (contains blacklist option for nvidia)
rm -f
Confirmed.
I fixed it really easy, tested on Ubuntu 12.04 with iOS 7 on iPhone 4
(should work for every iOS 7 device and every 12.04+ ubuntu distro):
sudo apt-get install libimobiledevice-dev
That way it'll install all dependencies.
