I think we resolved this issue.
We had this problem every day in some boxes after update from precise to
trusty. When we tried to update wine, we can't because synaptic found broken
packages. The history was that solving wine problem we solved this too.

This bug is infuriating. It makes Nautilus unusable for any task
involving organizing files / folders. Time is wasted backing out of
folders every time you drag and drop a file. It is even worse if you

I appear to be having the same issue as SergeiS tonysonney under 14.04,
file system permissions are correct and cp works fine from the command line for
one of my USB hard drives, but drive consistently shows as 'Owner: root' in
Nautilus - even though mount options are identical to an
remounting per comment #20 (sudo mount -o remount,rw /media/mount
point) did not work with nautilus 3.10.1-0ubuntu9.3 on 14.04

else on a forum or with other hardware) please test 12.04.0 (kernel
series 3.2.x not another variant) via http://old-
