Ugh, this isn't progressing well.
I tried adding logger statements to the script since my change wouldn't bring
back the audio.
My logger statements didn't show in the log.
Then I added touch statements since I knew where those files would be
created. Again, nothing created.
I had been using
I'm guessing it isn't spdif because it says it's audio for the HDMI.
Something I ended up finding I think is using alsamixer to make sure
auto-mute is disabled, but that is only so I can have audio from the
headphones in the front and back at the same time.
However what I just found is resuming
Also on my asus zenbook my brightness keys fn+f5 and fn+f6 are the only
fn keys working. They still change the brightness bus there is no pop-up
icon showing the brightness level. This does appear before the first
system standby.

The short-cuts stop working after resuming from standby AND logging in to TTY2.
When switching to TTY7 the short-cuts work in the login screen, but after
logging in they don't work any more.

FYI we have this information locally in libtimezonemap already and an
algorithm specified for querying this for ubuntu-system-settings
(https://wiki.ubuntu.com/TimeAndDate#Choosing_locations - scroll down a
bit Whenever).
I think it might make sense for libtimezonemap to implement this

I also encountered this problem (gnome-terminal not launching) and in my
case the problem was an invalid $HOME/.pam_environment file from a
previous OS installation. Xterm worked fine. Removing the
.pam_environment file fixed the problem; putting it back triggered the
problem again.

The above fix worked for me.however on reboot my touchpad was not
usable.
I had to run - sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-synaptics - to
restore functionality.
Just FYI in the event someone else runs into this issue.

I have the same problem as the original submitter. The patch appears to
correct the problem for the logitech keyboard but not the mouse. I have
a MK700 keyboard and M705 mouse both of which used to show up via upower
-d.

After rereading the original bug description my issue is slightly
different. I could not see my keyboard or mouse until I applied the
patch in #8. The patch only made the keyboard show up for me though.

Oops, Wily is a lot better however I got hashed wallpaper once.
15.04 comes up hashed wallpaper every time, do FilesPicturesselect
jpgset as wallpaper once or twice or three times and wallpaper is O.K.
