Both packages mentioned above are a part of libimobiledevice (enabled on
upower builds that detect iOSdevices). Both have been replaced by newer
versions. I haven't yet had time to track down why upowerd is linking
the older version.

I have the same problems with graphical artifacts like white bars in the
address search bar, in websites, when marking something, and the
mouseover-text is black on black background, the scrollbar shows black
artifacts.

The problem seems to be due to uefi secure boot option now checking also the
keys of modules, which the nvidia driver obviously does not provide. Disabling
secure boot solved the problem for me, but completely disabling it just because
there is no signature for the nvidia driver seems to be a

can connect to wifi via command line while you wait for the fix of this

I had the same issue after a beta install, and upgrade to final.
Removing the ~/.cache/gestreamer-1.0 folder, as proposed by snerge, also
solved the problem on my machine.

After trying to launch upowerd manually, I found that two packages were
missing: libusbmuxd2 and libplist2. These are no longer in the Wily
repository. I found and installed both libraries and my problems with
upower and unity-settings-daemon were fixed. Fonts look correct, media
