Although the green LED turns on in my C270 webcam, cheese shows no

Have to login twice
I'm not a specialist in these procedures, but it's easy enough to change the
status of the bug, the problem are getting the attention of the proper people.
In my experience it's not easy getting them back when the have left already.
I think the best way are if we make a new bug, have have as
Running Ubuntu Studio (Xubuntu) 14.04 I had this or a very similar
problem when I changed name and hid the SSID on my wifi.
nm-manager kept looking for the old SSID and would not connect to the
hidden network - I had to connect manually on boot.
When I told nm-manager to forget the old wifi the
I installed the latest updates, but I still have the same problem as
others wrote before. After suspend the network icon only shows two
arrows and no list of available Wifi networks are shown.
Is there a way to reactivate this bug-report as "doesn't fix" or so?

I believe it is an ibus-daemon bug. I had the problem at least in gnome-
terminal, firefox (but not under Unity), thunderbird. I solved it less
brutally than flushing the whole user DConf database by resetting one
key:
dconf reset /org gnome/desktop/interface/gtk-im-module
which contained the
HDMI modes of NVIDIA GeForce 9400M do not work either by Nouveau in
?ubuntu 16.04. xrandr lists the modes though, but setting them just
corrupts the integrated display. By NVIDIA drivers HDMI works fine.

I found a different work around that works consistently for me. I'm
actually using gentoo linux with xorg-server-1.17.4, gnome-3.18.0, and
xrandr-1.4.3. Looks to me like Thomas C. Blank was on the right track.
I have an NVIDIA card with a 1680x1050 monitor and a 1920x1200 monitor.

I had to roll-back to 15.10 and fglrx proprietary drivers to get back my
