Status in brasero package
An old thread, I know but I've experienced similar problems.
After upgrade from Ubuntu 14.04.3 to 16.04.1 with Xmonad window manager
certain undesirable symptoms began to arise. Of course, fglrx was be
removed and the xserver-xorg-driver-ati(?) graphics driver was installed
instead. In 14.04 I
I cannot reproduce the bug on stock krillin running rc-proposed and
without the silo 2098 installed. syslog attached.

Problem had been fixed using this command: sudo apt-get install ubuntu-
restricted-extras
I am sure some files were missing or not all the formats were downloaded
the first time. Thanks for your help.

I have this same problem, but my errors are going to my .xsession-errors
file, as I'm starting kodi after logging in instead. Maybe the bug is in
kodi? I'm using kodi 17 beta 4, with Ubuntu 16.04 and kodi 16.1 I did
not have any problems.
