I would like to add that another symptom of probably the same problem is
constant freezes when on prime with intel selected. My system (XPS 15
9560, GTX1050M) boots fine, but freezes basically within 1 minute of the

Okay, I think I need to point out that the AppStream metainfo format solves all
the problems you have (providing a human-readable translated name, associating
a snap and a .desktop file, integrating it with GNOME Software)- it will even
allow one to specify multiple launch-commands per software

The back-light goes off at random intervals.
I'm a heavy user of numeric keypad. That turns into mouse-keys at intervals as
well.
Both issues results in a rather annoying user experience.
I have not been able to determine the

I can't seem to use network manager to set up a connection via my
Android smartphone's USB tethering.
The device, if it shows up in the network manager gnome menu, shows up
as "device not managed".
If there's any other information I can attach, please tell me.

Similar behavior can be seen in Xterm.
1) Open Xterm with rootless Xmir
2) Ctrl+Right-Click very briefly opens menu and then immediately closes menu
Expected behavior: Menu stays open

Aron, let me know if I should open a new bug report instead. I haven't
tested this yet but I could. I just had someone ask me why Ubuntu GNOME

Same problem, but I wan unable to reduce icons size since I've closed window.
When I've opened it again icons were small, but desktop icons stay large. The
only way I've found was dconf-editor:
org -> gnome -> nautilus -> icon view -> default zoom level

The new version of gdk-pixbuf builds on all architectures now.

It looks like I just ran into this issue with Ubuntu 16.10 so the
upstart reference may be wrong here.
Is any more data needed or would it be useless anyway?
PS: It seems that some of the "fixes" made it to /etc/init/lightdm.conf
already but nothing helps?

16.10.
On the other hand: if you google this people are having these issues for years
with nvidia drivers.
I would love how to debug this at least.
