the builtin microphone doesn't works at all. I have tried to go in
alsamixer to see if the microphone was disabled but alsamixer says: This
sound device does not have any capture controls.
The same happens if I attach a microphone in the jack. Usb microphones
seems to works.

currently on xenial, with the hwe kernel. if bbswitch is active on the
kernel, dkms builds for the old kernel, which means no bbwitch on
reboot. Another dkms package had this issue, and apparently the fix is

So, the problem here is going to be the EGL platform detection - it's
failing to detect Mir, and is instead trying (and failing) to connect to
an X server.

start up OK, but miral-shell crashes because it has an internal client
(SpinnerSplash).

Version 4.4.0-72-generic seems to be the last version that works for
everyone here, on different systems. I renamed this bug to mention
Intel, but Shay Perlstein above had the same problem on NVidia.

firefox, and it seems from your description that you are not using
firefox and you are not seeing the problem specifically when you open

Got the same problem on 17.04. I don't use Firefox. Using Thunderbird
and PHPStorm on daily basis. After some time (pretty random) unity-
panel-service takes all available RAM and I need to reboot to correct
the problem.

I jumped to 4.10.1-041001-generic since I failed to go back to 4.4.0-72 which
used to work, everything is working again as it should without any problem, I

I booted my pc this morning and found that the trackpad is no longer
responding. Moving it or clicking, there is no response.
I did nothing special yesterday nor manually installed anything, the
only thing that was installed was some new Ubuntu updates through the
