[Copy/Pasted from freedesktop.org] After testing new version of kernel
on Ubuntu 17.10 installation (wayland + systemd) I discovered by chance
that after suspend and unsuspend (systemctl suspend), internal monitor
starts displaying image and everything works (for the first time with

I still have the exact same symptoms after the fix was released, but no
longer see crash logs. Any way to tell what is causing the crash? I
assume it's related but don't know how to track it down.

I have just tested this on Fedora 27 under Wayland and Cheese works
correctly when no camera is connected. So I am not sure if this is

At any given time: immediately after reboot, immediately after
restarting gnome-shell (alt+F2 --> "r"), and during regular use gnome-
shell is consuming at least 4GB RAM. I'm happy to provide a memory
profile but I don't know how to do that so I need help.

I too have this issue, this affects anyone is is using Ubuntu with a TV
if after watching something one line and you turn off the TV via remote,
when the signal drops the Ubuntu sessions is terminated along with all
running apps. My configuration is an Intel NUC with mini DVI to HDMI
interface.
I've installed all the missing plugins and now it works fine. Thanks a
lot.
