are you sure it has arrived with _some_ gcc version already.
publications indicate its very experimental still and i can not see any
of the typical switches beeing honored by the gcc versions on my
machine. (and i was able to switch them forth and back using "update-
alternatives") needless to say

Your argument is pretty wrong, there is Zero impact if this feature is
hidden with a flag that one could enable when deployed.

I might do that but:
(a) We would have to exclude the old fix (upgrade plugins-bad) at the same
time; and
(b) It is almost EOW here. I can probably bet on everything just working by

Agreed that suggesting 18.04 is invalid as of today (02/03/18) as it
isn't released yet. Nor is it an actual issue with Ubuntu, but with
Firefox and Stylish.
However, it doesn't seem to occur with 58 and Stylish 3 so it's
hopefully been left behind.
