Oh, you seem to be using an old unsupported graphics driver. Please
uninstall it before doing anything else:
sudo apt remove xserver-xorg-video-intel
and then reboot.

While installing chromium browser installation stuck on installing
chromium browser by snap. The installation happen but after long time.
It also not shows the progress. The data required for snap package is
more the deb package. Reconsider the deb package as it is good.
Still happening in Ubuntu 20.04 focal , We need to find some workaround
for this , any other mobile or desktop OS can do this !

I was having problems for some time entailing that an empty screen (or a
black screen with one underscore character on top-left) appeared when
Ubuntu loaded the graphics driver, in my case nVidia, which made me
unable to enter X without the Nouveau driver active. This patch seems to
have fixed it.
