One note. When you select the text you want to copy, the selected text is dark-gray with light-grey selection background (instead of white on orange, like everywhere in ubuntu). So maybe the problem is that selected text is somehow not active, similar to non-active window. -- You received this

It’s quite diffucult to reproduce, if you don’t have anyone with non-square userpics in contact list. To reproduce, just chat with someone who has rectangular userpic. On you screenshot, the userpic is actually square (even if it doesn’t look so). Notice the round corners on your and my
