Hi,
Support for Ubuntu 18.04 is not available in current version of HPLIP (3.17.11).
Ubuntu 18.04 suppose to be release on April 2018. Can you please mention the
proper Ubuntu Version if you are using any other.

The Ubuntu 17.10 support will be available in the 3.17.11 release which is
planned in month of November end. Please check for the release announcement in
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hplip and the driver can be downloaded
from https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-imaging-and-printing
Hi,
The PLUGIN_FALLBACK_LOCATION variable will be updated with the new hplip portal
link which has the plugin files needed for installation and this change will be
available as part of the 3.17.11 release before end of November.
