App grid has too many page dots on right

With the gnome dock on the right, clicking the "Show Applications"
button (matrix of 9 dots at bottom right), brings up a matrix of
applications. On the right there are two or more dots, one for each
page of the menu. But the dots are behind the dock on the right, and

When I click the "Show Applications" button in the lower left, it brings
