I'm having the same issue in 12.10. I just noticed it two days ago. I did quite a bit of updating from software center Updated some Tweaks stuff and other programs. Even added Htop hoping to catch something but all I caught was more freezes. Today ..it happened about 5 - 7 times. I've worked about
