* Choose Browse Network in the sidebar
* Double-click on Windows Network
Instead of displaying computers in the network, Nautilus reproducibably
displays the following error message (guessing a bit because I am using

The evince 3.10.3-0ubuntu3 update does indeed cause keyboard shortcuts
to not work in non-Unity desktops (more specifically, I tested in GNOME
Shell, and even basic shortcuts such as Crtl+O do nothing now.)
Also, it is not possible to leave presentation mode now by simply
pressing F5 or Esc. In
I don't want to be pushy, but I would be very happy if my patch for
Evince could be reviewed. I am interested in producing similar patches
for other default applications, but I want to be sure that I followed
the right approach before doing so.

ASUS Xonar U3 volume slider problem
Has the kernel patch that Raymond pointed to been added upstream?
Unfortunately, the Windows driver only enables S/PDIF on the card until
the Xonar U3 is unplugged, so there isn't even a workable workaround.

ASUS Xonar U3
I need to take this back: I installed the Xonar U3 driver under Windows
and after a restart, S/PDIF is also available under Ubuntu; this output
option features normal volume control over the whole percentage range.
So I guess the kernel patch to turn on S/PDIF would have fixed my
problem.
