Update originally came through software updater. I upgraded through
software updater also.

I didn't set anything. Installed an update and sound stopped working.

After an update a few weeks ago the internal speakers on my laptop
stopped working. Audio from headphones works fine. Tried upgrading
version of Ubuntu but still won't work.
