I'm getting something very similar. When editing text - mainly (perhaps always) 
when selecting text the keyboard freezes for a short time.  Resizing/moving the 
window seems to recover this, but it recovers by itself after  about 10 seconds.
This is with Libre Office text, geany and kate editors.
Also happening on two different computers - a Toshiba Z830 and an Acer Aspire 
XC-605
