This seems to be in multiple bug reports, I did not realize this one was
still open. I have not seen the issue in a while, I have now been able
to pan on the original ACER nettop I had the issue with as well as other
dissimilar configurations. For me I am considering this fixed.

Not sure the command for the xorg stack version, send me the command if
this is not the right one:
$ uname -a

This defect is now fixed in Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS running on a Acer Aspire
One model ZG5.

Acer Aspire 1 - Screen resolution 1024x600
Screen will not pan using the mouse, used to work with Ubuntu 11.04
under the old window manager. The screen does appear to take the larger
size but cannot scroll to the bottom portion.
