[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1861358] Re: tracker search hangs and never returns results

2020-11-06 Thread Lennart Karssen
This is to confirm that the package in 'proposed' works. I installed tracker 2.3.6-0-ubuntu1 from 'focal-proposed' and when running 'tracker search something' I get actual search results (and no more Glib warnings). ** Tags removed: verification-needed-focal ** Tags added: verification-done-focal

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1035651] Re: liferea crashed with SIGABRT in g_assertion_message()

2016-11-30 Thread Lennart Karssen
I just experienced a crash on Ubuntu 16.10. Apport pointed me to this bug report. I don't think this is directly related to Ubuntu 16.10 because Liferea worked fine until a few days ago. The strange thing is that I get this crash every time I start Liferea. The package version is 1.10.19-2ubuntu1.

1.10.4 fixes a very annoying bug where double-clicking on an item doesn't open it in the default browser but in Liefrea's own window (even if opening in Liferea is explicitely disabled in the preferences). See http://sourceforge.net/p/liferea/bugs/1089/. -- You received this bug notification beca

I had to remove the emacs24 package, which led to the removal of several other packages (e.g. apel, org-mode, auctex, emacs-goodies-el), then reinstalled emacs24. This went well. Next I reinstalled the packages that depended on emacs24 (apel, org-mode, etc.). The install was succesful, but I notced
