totem, etc.) tend to hang. First I thought it was the programs

The Python3/unity-tweak-tool traps are from starting it without having
overlay-scrollbars installed (fixed that already).

When I'm watching a video, and toggle the controls using Ctrl+H
repeatedly, the window gets smaller and smaller until it's the size of a
postage stamp.
Manually resizing the window, or selecting one of the Adjust window
size options work to get the video big again.

I see the same thing: song plays, but when the next song comes up
Banshee just stops playing sound.
Files play fine using vlc, so it's not pulseaudio or the kernel driver.

recompiled libmtp to add the device ID, but that didn't help.
As the same thing happens with my Xoom tablet (also an Android device),
which is included in the unpatched libmtp, I think this is a Banshee
