Hi Dave, I've managed to capture the output of top on my machine while having console window open. You will see at some point Xorg and firefox at crazy CPU load and then Xorg for some times completely vanishes from the list and firefox drops to zero load. I hope this helps? ** Attachment added:

Hi Dave, I've just tested. Before I started Firefox Xorg.0.log's last line was [ 188.082]. After I experienced the stall the last line was still [ 188.082]. So nothing had been added to it. In today's log file there's also no trace of those errors you've spotted. So they could be unrelated. --
