To complement what aisthesis said, now, in Ubuntu 14.04, the kb backlight
works.
It gets triggered only via the luminosity sensor, not the fn keys.
I don't recommend removing that blacklist, as its known to brick the
laptop in UEFI mode (atleast in old BIOS versions).

When the preview pane is open the menu bar integration is lost until
lo-writer is restarted, atleast it doesn't crash.

@Marc, if it displayed Kingston DataTraveler 2.0: 4.0 GB Filesystem
then the patch would make it display 4.0 GB Filesystem like on the
Devices side-Panel. So E762-C972 should be the mount point and the
label is unset.
However if you label it E762-C972 it will display as E762-C972,
again, like on
