I can confirm this also in Ubuntu 21.04 (arm64) for Raspberry Pi 4.
1- Enable Screen sharing
2- Require password (fill the password)
3- Select network
4- Close the window
On my laptop, open remmina and create a new VNC connection to the
raspberry pi. Click Save & Connect and it is successfully

well ... it's been almost 4 years now and either nobody had an idea how
to fix it or everybody disagreed with my proposal :)
Anyway I am sure from what I've seen so far is that nobody relies on
dejadup as it doesn't pass the schrodinger backup test 100% :)

My resolution is 1366x768 (16:9), and when I maximize system monitor the fonts
are being distored and barely readable.
What I found is the this starts after a certain amount of window scale not just
maximized.
