You will need to get the correct usb IDs from lsusb. Quoting from the file I

What I can say is that it never worked for me on Trusty with the 3.13 kernels
and continues to not work with the mainline 4.2.5 kernel.
Which USB port I plug it in does also not matter. Tried USB 3.0 ports on the

It seems I have finally fixed my problem. I was having issues like those
described on bug #872483. What worked for me was doing:
lpadmin -p printer -o usb-no-reattach-default=true
where printer is what is listed by the lpstat -p command.
In my case:
printer Lexmark-E230 is idle. enabled since
lpadmin -p Lexmark-E230 -o usb-no-reattach-default=true
fixes the same problem with my Lexmark E230 printer on Precise 64bit

It can be fixed by right-clicking the window going to Profiles-Profile
